So, why am I trekking almost 2200 miles for 5 months? Why climb the equivalent of Mt Everest 16 times?

  • Complete a long-deferred adventure while I am still able
  • Eat wild blueberries from a bush, not a market
  • Rediscover the natural rhythms of life
  • Find an epic view for the last of my mom’s ashes
  • Eat 5000+ calories a day and lose weight
  • Raise awareness of gaps in access to medical care for people and pets in Appalachia and help close them by fundraising for Remote Area Medical – RAM®.
